I determined to study abroad after attending this workshop, which provided me to discuss with Professor Graham Matthew Long during the period.

Significantly, it is important for me to have chance to discuss with more people who have different academic of culture background from me, and it improved my design qualities and skills.

Moreover, this pragmatic training aided me to find a solution to release a massive working stress and finished the work on time. Thus, it adapted me to be a fashion designer assistant easily. Despite a normal fashion design-process formulates a design principle first and gathers materials or fabrics to perform the idea, this course followed development a design concept from fabrics. Consequently, after I sewed a costume on my own, the fashion show was held on least of this program.

What I thought in this workshop:

The fashion design can conduct a 3D survey as an architecture which including fulfils a design and art performances into it. Furthermore, I invited the shape and function to enrich my artwork from image of La Pedrera, which was built by, Antoni Gaudi, one of my favorite artists. As can be seen, idea of this cloth was practicability and visionary wearing.

這個workshop引發我去國外求學的動機,因為我發現與不同文化背景的人討論作品,可以得到很多創作本質與設計技巧上的提升.

這是一個很務實的設計訓練,使我在後來的服裝設計助理工作上能夠在短時間適應壓力並且按時完成作品. 有別於一般的設計過程是從設計理念上去找適合的材質來表現,僅提40小時完成整個作品,並在課程最後舉行fashion show,首先我被訓練要從得到的布料去完成服裝設計,並且由我獨立完成作品.

服裝設計,能從各角度被檢視富含設計藝術再其中,如同我最欣賞的藝術家之一的Antoni Gaudi,它的的建築設計作品La Pedrera,是個藝術建築包含實用與美觀的成功作品,所以我將這個概念運用在服裝作品上.
