This forword collects the details of creations in the exhibition from 2002 to 2008. Also, it shows the result of my master dissertation in 2006, in which I gained deepened knowledge and gathered new materials as well as made my motive in art much clearer.
Painting, knitting, and sewing are permanently efficient ways for me to present my ego. The memories of positive or negative experiences in life are treasures for me to create artworks. The feelings in time will be forgotten; therefore, I paint, while others keep a diary, to record my days. Even though some experiences are painful, the fruit of creating process is always enjoyable, as the French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir said that “La douleur passe, la beaute reste,”

What I did in 2007: My design principle
The hand-made feature in my works strongly presents my personal characteristics. The manual artworks are transferred from my senses such as love, desire, and all these treasured memories were revealed in eight exhibitions I attended. Furthermore, I apprehend my creative motivation by analyzing my personal creations and artworks in exhibitions from 2002 to 2003. Consequently, this analysis showed the typical five subdivisions in my artworks. Thereafter since 2004, I have conducted experiments to transfer my 2-dimension artworks to 3D installations.
The architect, Roan Ching-Yue, said “Architecture concretizes the abstract concepts in literature; therefore, the combination makes them a perfect couple.” The similar connection can been found between hand made and creativity. As far as I am concerned, hand-made creation will be renaissance in the following decades in the world.
As a matter of fact, Haute Couture faded away in the late nineteenth due to the popularity of sewing machines invented and widely used. However, nowadays, Automatic Measure Machine has arisen the interests among people to have customerized products. Though the majority of people accept the standardized machine-made products, more and more people prefer to the goods made by hand because they are filled with designers’ enthusiasm. Therefore, I believe it will be a tendency towards hand-made goods because they touch users' hearts more deeply than machine-made items.
